Hi,

I have configured an Innodb whose ibdata1 file size has grown to about a 100G but when I purged about 90% of the table data the ibdata1 file size still remained the same. Am I missing something here or is the tablespace designed that way? Any tips to help me reduce the ibdata1 file size please.

The InnoDB table space file will never get smaller even if you purge data.
